Green Tara 2

Green Tara 2 was commissioned by Phillipa Rutherford and Bruce Farley, co-directors of the Chandrakirti Meditation Centre in Nelson NZ, at the suggestion of Lama Zopa Rinpoche.

This painting depicts Tara in her pure land which was inspired by the crystal clear beauty of the Golden Bay/Nelson region. Note the Kereru, a native bird of New Zealand, the sponsors offering jewels to Tara and thier beloved scottie Sammy!
